Actions against the death penalty for the pregnant Christin Meriam Yehya Ibrahim

Here again is a case I want to tell you again and that is about a pregnant woman who is a Christian. They should be sentenced to death because they did not renounce your faith. Here is an excerpt from Amnesty International:

On 15 May 2014 Meriam was sentenced to death by hanging for ‘apostasy’, and to 100 lashes for ‘adultery’ . Three days before she had been asked by the court to give up her faith. Meriam Yehya Ibrahim is eight months pregnant and currently in detention with her 20-month-old son.

Meriam Yehya Ibrahim were sentenced to 100 lashes for "apostasy" under Section 126 of the Code law of Sudanese to death for "adultery" under § 146.

The date of the execution has not yet been announced.

The death penalty is the ultimate cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment and a violation of the right to life. The punishment of flogging violates the absolute prohibition against torture and other ill-treatment in international human rights law.

According to Sudan’s Criminal Code, a woman that is heavily pregnant cannot be executed before giving birth to her child and nursing him or her for two years.
